Can you help?
We are looking for people to join our volunteer cleaning rota for church
as we have had some people drop out recently for personal reasons.
We are really grateful to current and past cleaners for
their enthusiasm and dedication in keeping our lovely building looking beautiful! It
isn't onerous (honestly, it isn't!) - people work in pairs and each pair
is responsible for just one month each year. The church normally needs
cleaning twice a month, before the Sunday services - most people go in
on Friday or Saturday but there is no set time, it's to suit the people
concerned. Occasionally there are extra services when an extra whisk
round might be needed. It normally takes around 3 hours a month. You
don't need to be a church-goer and in fact most people on the cleaning
rota aren't.
If you would like to know more, please contact Ruth on 01526 322285.

Breathe - a new evening service
Starting Sunday 12 August at 6 pm, we're launching a new evening service for the benefice. It's for all of our three parishes but it will be held at All Saints' Nocton at 6 pm on the 2nd Sunday of each month.
The idea is to offer something quiet and peaceful, with silence, time to reflect and not too many words. We might include some of the lovely simple chants from the monastery at Taize - but there won't be lots of singing. The focus will be on peace and quiet. A chance to catch your breath at the start of a new week. So if Sunday mornings aren't practical for you, maybe Breathe would be just the thing.

A huge thank you
The church Fundraising Committee would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who made the Flower Festival Weekend such a huge success. Local groups, businesses and individuals were generous with their time, effort and money in providing such a wonderful show of flowers and the many cake bakers gave us a delicious range of cakes to sell. Saturday night's concert with Syncapella was every bit as fantastic as we had expected and the weekend rounded off with an uplifting Songs of Praise. Thanks to the generosity of those who attended the event, an amazing sum of £1760 was raised - a record so far.
Thank you!!!
Thank you!!!
